Your data
Where it lives, who can see it, how to get it out, and what happens when you leave.
Written plainly, including the parts that are not flattering. If you are evaluating StatusLoop for real work, you should know these before you commit, not after.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in the United States, in a managed Postgres database. The application runs in the same region so that requests do not cross the country on every query.
Who can see it
- People in your organization, according to their role. Admins see everything in your organization; members see the spaces, programs and projects within it.
- No other customer. Every query is scoped to one organization, and that boundary is enforced in the database as well as the application.
- StatusLoop staff, who can act across organizations in order to support you. Their actions are subject to the same audit log as anyone else's.
- A small number of sub-processors that make the product work — hosting, the database, transactional email, error tracking, and the AI provider if you enable AI features.
Backups — read this one
StatusLoop is pre-launch and currently runs on infrastructure without automated backups or point-in-time recovery. If the production database were lost, there is no supported way to recover it.
Separately from that, deletion inside the product is recoverable: organizations and projects are soft-deleted for seven days before being removed permanently, so an accidental delete can be undone within that window.
Getting your data out
An admin can export the entire organization as a spreadsheet workbook at any time, with one sheet per table. There is no request process and no waiting — it is a button, and it works the same on the day you leave.
When you leave
Your access ends when your subscription does. For thirty days afterwards you can ask for an export of your data; after that window it may be permanently deleted, and we are under no obligation to retain or recover it. Take the export yourself before you go — it is faster and it does not depend on us.
What we ask you not to store here
Do not put payment card numbers, government identifiers, health records, or other special-category personal data into StatusLoop. The product is not designed or certified for them, and the Terms prohibit it.
AI features
If you enable the AI executive summary, the relevant cycle data is sent to our AI provider to generate the text. It is generated on request and not stored by us beyond the result you see. If that is not acceptable, leave the feature off — nothing else depends on it.
